After 9 monhts waiting, picked it up today ! Fully specced long Energetic with vis-à-vis 6 seating
Options are : ergo leather seating with heating, ventilation and masage, all travel assists, easyopen pack, panoramic roof, DCC with 20mm lowering, heated front window and steering wheel, harman-kardon audio .... only options missing that I wanted are the 360° camera (would have taken half a year longer due to the semiconductor shortages) and the towing hook (not posible due to weight constraints).

All in all, very happy !

I've 3 kids now getting to ages that leave them cramped across the rear of my octavia... that and the fights that break out sometimes mean I hanker for an mpv. I don't like the lack of space in 7 seat suvs and even people carriers like the galaxy have big limitations on luggage so the size and also flexibility, but mainly the size, if a true van based mpv is something I'm looking into. Currently interested in the multivan and also the Mercedes v class. Vw engine options have that as my current favourite......I don't want a diesel.

Still a long way off any purchase though.

For me it was quite an obvious choice. Or better to say it was an absence of choice. I had two diesel cars before, and had so many issues with AdBlue system and DPF filter, all due to the fact that i live in city centre and used my vehicle for short journeys mostly.
So after all my research i had two options - either buying MB EQV or Petrol or Plug-in Hybrid Multivan T7. EQV obviously is a terrible car (for occasional long journeys), so this is where i am. LWB Style Multivan, conference seating pack, panoramic roof, sliding windows at the back, etc and most importantly with 2.0 TSI. Just to keep the power system as simple as it’s possible. Having that additional electric element on top of a tiny petrol unit is a recipe for disaster IMHO. Forgive me if i offended any current owners of hybrids… I just like to keep things simple, hence old trusted plain petrol unit for me as my intention is to keep it for years and years to come. Fingers crossed 🤞

After 10 yrs with a T5.1 California SE campervan, 180 biturbo, and 135,000 miles we were waiting and waiting for the new T7 Multivan California. On a month's visit to Australia we decided we like touring but not so much the unpacking and packing up of the Campervan. We are of an age that we like hotels and ready pitched tents etc. So we gave up waiting and whilst in Australia purchased a Black Multivan Style Hybrid. Removed 2 seats to carry 2 folding electric bikes and away we go. Already covered 1,650 miles in 5 weeks. We love the room, the drive and now we can park anywhere a car can without some of the draconian limitations on Campervan parking.
